1. Please, tell our readers something about yourself.
I am 39 years old.
I am teacher in art school and music school and lector of descriptive
geometry in art college and in university.

2. What is your training background like?

My father was practiced in lifting sport, and when I was puberty he taked

me with him to gym. My body was not good for lifting sport, but I was
strong relatively to my weight and in 1986, when in Tallinn were first
competitions in gs with rules like now (in Estonia in jaanipäev
23-24 June night girja (sangpomm) jerk is traditional sport over 100
years), I found it for myself. Then I was in Soviet Army and there were gs
competitions too. After army I was not interested in lifting sport and I
spetsialised to gs. My weight was small (-65) and resultantly this, I had
good results in Estonia (8 times champion) and now I interested in gs
very amateurly.

3. How did you end up training with kettlebells? What was the thing that
appealed to you about them?

3 years ago I sicken in diabetes, and my weight now, after insulin

injections, about 75kg and results now are not so good, but it is
comfortable and good sport for me after setbacks too.

4. Are you using kettlebells for other purposes than your own training?
No.

5. What are your personal goals?
To be happy and calm in GS.

6. What is your training week like, how often do you train and what?
Now my GS training season is starting in late autumn. In summer I am

running, hilking, bicyclyng etc.
I was practiced it seriously long time and now I take it easy.

7. Is there something you’d like to say about kettlebell training? Something
positive? Maybe a word of warning?

It is very good sport, what you can do at home too, needed only kettlebells.

8. What would you like to say to someone who’s just starting out with
kettlebells, or considering it?

Good luck 🙂
